The original pair of these beautiful spine earrings were made with 'lumbar' and 'sacral' vertebrae from found owl pellets. The bones were handpicked and organized by size to give them the appearance of an animal spine, then cast in bronze. No animal was harmed in the process.

The hoops are handcrafted with brass rods, and the finish is an oxidized patina that gives them an antique look.
