These earrings are handmade with layers of copper and brass riveted by hand. The beautiful finish comes from sandblasting each piece after it is fully assembled. You will need stretched earlobes to wear them.

The idea came from the doors of the Baptistery in Florence. During the early Renaissance, when Ghiberti made them, they were groundbreaking pieces of art. If you look for Ghiberti's self-portrait on them, you will find these hoops.
